Night Time over The Harbour In Vancouver

I got this shot with my Canon XTi on the evening of the 28th of August. There are some nice colors, and even with all the light pollution a few stars even poked out. I definitely can't spot any constellation shapes though.

Stargazing Manitoulin and Manitoulin Star Party 2009

There are two star parties being held at the Dark Sky Preserve in Gordon’s Park in Ontario Canada in 2009. This dark sky site is located at Tehkummah Township, 18777 Hwy. 6. (GPS Coordinates: Latitude N 45.66866, Longtitude W 81.97073)

Link To Map

Stargazing Manitoulin takes place from July 17 to July 21, 2009 and the Manitoulin Star Party is on August 14 thru August 18, 2009.

This site features camping in the fields and meadows of the dark sky site, no light pollution, darkest skies in the Province of Ontario (21.96 out of 23 SQM  reading), 360 degree viewing, and 7.5+ magnitude skies.

Sounds good to me!
